Lockdown Look Back to 2019
Date posted: 28th April 2020
Sadly we have yet to take Victoria out in 2020 but we thought to cheer ourselves up we would look back to some of her outings in 2019, so here we have a few pictures taken at some of the events she attend and her travels to get there…
Please check out the captions as it explains what we were doing on each picture etc.
Enjoy and stay safe x
Victoria had passed her steam test in the morning and a few friends had come to see us so we decided to get the wagon out and go out for lunch.
Just a short trip of a couple of miles for a lovely pub lunch in the sun.
A selfie of course with those who joined us.
Waiting to be parked up in the local town of Petersfield for their spring event, Victoria here is stood just a few metres away from where she lived from 1886 to 1970.
On a lovely sunny bank holiday Monday back in May 2019
Again a selfie with the crew and of course Colin
Here is Victoria and Colin enjoying themselves at Hollycombe. They are joined by a VTT teddy that lives in Scotland most of the year but always comes to see Victoria and Colin when he is here visiting.
Colin just passing the time sitting on Victoria's tool box.
Always a great event, plenty of space for us to have a good steam around and let many of our friends and family have a steer of Victoria.
Here you can see Victoria in the middle with her friends; Lady on her left and Wildfire to the right.
This was a trip for one of the party who loves steam and had never been on a traction engine so we got the trailer out and went for a trundle to the pub for lunch.
All in the trailer ready for our trip to the pub.
Off to Singleton, here we are waiting for Lady to catch up.
And we are off again, at least it's sunny, quite often we do this trip in the rain.
Here we are at the Weald and Downland Museum in Singleton, West Sussex, attending their excellent event called Saddles and Steam. It was a very wet and windy weekend on and off, but never the less we all had a great time.
Another trip to our next event and Victoria has another one of her friends with her, this time its Surprise, she is towing our trailer here with our water on for the trip, again another great day out.
Victoria trundling her way to her next event.
Here we see Victoria with Colin and Wendy on her footplate.
Hollycombe is only a few miles away from us so we try to attend a few things a year to support them, here we are just setting up for their Fairground at Night event.
The crew for the weekend and what a night it was, so busy, not sure I had ever seen Hollycombe so busy, it was a grand evening.
A little closer to home again now and Greatham Christmas Fair, a chilly damp late November afternoon.
Leaving the school fair and it was starting to get dark so time to turn on Victoria's lights - Be safe, Be seen.
It was Monday 30th December and a trip to the pub for lunch, here Victoria is sitting in the winter sun at the pub while we are all inside having a lovely meal.
We had quite a gathering at the pub with Victoria, 3 tractors, an old Land Rover and an old MG. Who knew so many people would come along, it was a great afternoon and a fantastic way to finish 2019.
Although we had loads of us at the pub we didn't have so many trailer riders, not like the summer when we could fill lots of trailers. It was a great way to end the festive season and 2019, but who knew that 2020 would be so different.
